Alice in Wonderland Onstage April 1

Under the direction of theater arts teacher Susan Smyth, Wallace Middle School students will perform Alice in Wonderland for the public in the Crosby Auditorium on Friday, April 1, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, April 2, at 4 p.m. Tickets are $3 for children and $5 for adults on Friday and $2 for children and $4 for adults on Saturday.

Hammond House Eighth-Grader Jolee Iannanutoni is an Elks Essay Contest Finalist

Jolee Iannantuoni, an eighth-grade student from the Hammond House, is also a finalist in the Elks essay contest in the 7th and 8th Grade Division.

Wallace Sixth Grader is a Finalist in Elks' National Essay Contest

Terrell Patterson, a sixth grade student in the accelerated academy, came in as a finalist for the "Why I Am Proud to be an American" essay contest sponsored by the Elks' Lodge. Wallace Cheerleaders Earn Spirit Award

The Wallace Cheerleaders competed in their first cheer competition Saturday, Jan. 29. They did a great job representing Wallace Middle School and won the Spirit Award at the competition. This team began in November with nearly 80 percent of the girls having no cheer experience. They have worked hard in practices for 8 - 12 hours every week developing their skills and the routine. Their devotion to the sport and to representing the school is amazing! Please congratulate the team members on their success.

This is the first time Wallace has had a cheer team with the skill level to compete at a cheer competition. We will compete in one more competition at Plainville High School on the morning of Saturday, Feb. 19.

Please support the team, and if possible join us at the competition.
