Cross Country Team Runs to Raise Funds for Sweaters

The Wallace-Run-a-Thon was a success on Friday. All the runners completed at least two miles during the event. Jurrel Racine and Edgar Nieves ran over six miles without a break. Ruby Rodriguez and Ryan Wilson ran six miles before stopping due to a lack of time. Good job to all the runners.

Under the direction of Coach Likorama, the Wallace Soccer Team defeated Swift 2-1 at a home game on Friday, October 21, 2011.

Students Browse the Fair

Yeshion House's Sixth Grade Reading Teacher, Ms. Davino, brings her students to the Scholastic book fair in the school library to browse the books with other Wallace students. Parent Liaison Ms. Flaherty coordinates the annual event, which runs this year from October 13 to October 20.

Wallace Middle School Announces the September, 2011, Students of the Month

Wallace Middle School has a student-of-the-month program. Each month, one student per grade per house is selected based on the following criteria:

Positive - Is respectful

Attitudes - Accepts responsibility

Working - Completes a high percentage of class work and/or homework

Safely - Follows school rules

Origami Club Folds Again

The Origami Club began meeting again on Wednesday, October 5. The group meets every Wednesday from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in Room 337.

PBIS Pizza and Bingo Party for September PAWS Winners

PBIS raffle winners from the Hammond House as well as from the Unified Arts department were honored Friday, October 7, with a pizza and bingo party in the student cafeteria. They are pictured above.  Students from the Huckins and Yeshion houses were honored on Tuesday, October 11, with pizza and bingo.
